Metamorfosi

“METAMORFOSI” IS A MASTERPIECE OF ANIMAL COLLECTION.

This unique piece titled “ Metamorfosi” was created in 2024 by Yahaira Vannucchi. I am an artist,

urban planner, coach, and entrepreneur with more than 16 years of teaching experience.

Lepidopterans, more commonly known as butterflies, belong to the order Holometabola, a group of advanced insects.

Throughout their lives, they undergo a series of complex transformations known as metamorphosis, progressing through the

stages of embryo, larva, pupa, and imago. Butterflies are particularly popular for the vibrant colors that adorn their wings and

their erratic flight as warm weather approaches. About 24,000 different species have been described.

Much like butterflies, humans experience transformations akin to a metamorphosis throughout their lives. Inspired by this

parallel, I call this piece “Metamorphosis.”
