MEDUSA PURPLE

“MEDUSA PURPLE“ IS A MASTERPIECE OF ANIMAL COLLECTION.

This unique piece titled “ Medusa Purple” was created in 2024 by Yahaira Vannucchi. I am

an artist, urban planner, coach, and entrepreneur with more than 16 years of teaching

experience.

This masterpiece of art it makes me  reflect of the

power woman hold. In Greek mythology it was said that the Gorgons were female monsters who turned those who  looked

directly into their eyes into stone. Medusa the most famous among them, was decapitated by Perseus, who used her head as

a shield. In Western culture, powerful women have historically been imagined as threats to male conquest and control.

Medusa herself has long been a

target for those who seek to demonize female authority she could have been a very

prototypical goddess of a matriarchal society. Her hair of snakes and reptilian skin symbolize the natural cycle of birth, death,

and rebirth. Snakes are used because of their shedding of skin and their rebirth into a new form.
